AV Trends in Europe 2025: The Future of Intelligent, Sustainable Solutions

Three trends are defining the future of AV in Europe for 2025: artificial intelligence (AI), all-in-one systems, and sustainability. These aren’t just ideas—they’re practical solutions already improving businesses’ operations.

AI is helping systems work smarter, managing tasks like tracking speakers in meetings or analyzing data in control rooms to make operations smoother. At the same time, all-in-one systems are becoming popular for simplifying installations and saving time. And sustainability? It’s now a priority, with more businesses turning to energy-efficient solutions to cut costs and meet their environmental goals.

Curious about how these trends will shape your AV strategy? Explore PSNI’s ISE 2025 Online Guide to see what’s next in AV.

AI: Smarter AV Systems That Do More

AI is making AV systems more powerful and easier to use. In control rooms, it helps operators process large amounts of data quickly and focus on what matters most. For example, AI can flag important alerts in real-time, helping teams respond faster to critical situations.

“Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly becoming a game-changer in AV but especially in control room operations,” says Eric Hénique, Executive VP of Sales, International at VuWall. “By leveraging smart analytics for real-time data processing and automated monitoring, operators can respond faster to critical situations, improving situational awareness and operational efficiency.”

In meeting rooms, AI improves how we connect and collaborate. Tools like Yealink’s AI 3.0 technology include features like multi-stream IntelliFrame, which shows each person in their own video frame—even if they’re in the same room. “These advancements enhance video clarity and enable seamless collaboration, making hybrid environments far more productive,” explains Jason Sun, Sales Director at Yealink.

AI also handles everyday challenges. Shure’s IntelliMix Room uses AI to remove background noise like typing or shuffling paper during calls. It even predicts hardware issues before they cause disruptions. These tools help create smoother meetings with fewer interruptions.

All-in-One Systems: Simplifying AV

Managing multiple AV components can be frustrating. That’s why all-in-one systems are becoming so popular. These solutions combine video, audio, and collaboration tools into a single device.

“Organizations are looking for integrated solutions that combine video walls, KVM switches, and control systems into a single platform,” says Eric Hénique from VuWall. “This minimizes the complexity of managing multiple components and enhances the user experience.”

All-in-one systems are also cost-effective. “Sennheiser TeamConnect Bars are an excellent starting point, as the all-in-one solution already includes impressive audio performance and AI camera technology that can be added to with additional mics, cameras and assisted listening solutions to make a larger system work from humble beginnings without changing out the original pieces of hardware,” explains Sennheiser’s Inesh Patel.

These systems work exceptionally well in medium-sized meeting rooms, huddle spaces, or control centers. They simplify installation, reduce maintenance needs, and provide a streamlined approach to AV management.

Sustainability: Greener AV for the Future

Sustainability has become a top priority in AV. Businesses want systems that are not only effective but also eco-friendly.

Sony’s research highlights this shift. “The push for ‘green AV’ includes reducing e-waste and incorporating environmentally friendly materials,” explains the team at Sony. Their study shows that 85% of organizations now consider sustainability when making AV decisions.

Energy-efficient systems are also in demand. “Sustainability and energy efficiency should also be priorities when making AV investment decisions. Professionals should seek out energy-efficient systems that are versatile enough to serve multiple use cases. By minimizing the amount of hardware required, organizations can reduce their environmental footprint and support long-term sustainability goals,” says Mark Schmidt of VuWall.

Choosing greener AV solutions benefits both the planet and your budget. Many energy-efficient systems deliver long-term savings, making them a practical and responsible business choice.
