While 2020 has hit some bumps for just about everyone in every part of the world, German audiovisual integrator DataVision started the new year with a bang, adding their 100th employee on January 1st. In business since 1995, company founder Jochen Roggenkämper can hardly believe how much the company has grown—and how quickly the time has gone.
“It is astonishing on a daily basis that we turned a small, box-moving AV business into one of the leading German companies,” he said. “I am very proud and thankful, and I appreciate every effort my team took to realize this success. But where did the time go?”
Today, DataVision operates eight branches and three service points, with company headquarters in Düsseldorf. A member of the PSNI Global Alliance since 2017, DataVision is one of the few AV companies in Germany operating on the international level. They have completed more than 500 projects over the past two years, and have collaborated with PSNI partners including Avidex, Ditec, Lemanvisio, 3P Technologies, SKS Technologies, SAGA Tech, Granteq, and Resurgent.
“I am deeply impressed by the shared vision and understanding on each of these projects—and at every PSNI event,” Jochen said. “We are brothers and sisters in spirit, and the intercultural exchange is truly stunning.”
DataVision’s Service Model Aligns Corporate Goals with Customer Satisfaction
DataVision provides audiovisual design and integration services, including presentation technology, conference room systems, collaboration tools, and service and maintenance. They were named Microsoft Global Partner of the Year in 2018 – the same year they were also named a top reseller of business projectors by NEC.
But what really sets the company apart is an owner-manager structure that provides customers the flexibility and responsiveness they need and want. With a flat hierarchy and non-bureaucratic decision making, DataVision delivers swift service and a high standard of quality on every project, every time.
“The success of our service concept is based on the unconditional alignment of all corporate activities to the needs and satisfaction of our customers,” said DataVision CEO Andreas Matthei.
PSNI Members are Preparing for Profound Changes in AV
DataVision’s recent projects include the completion of standardized modern conference rooms and the integration of state-of-the-art media and collaboration technology for BMW, VW and Daimler via framework agreements. They also helmed a comprehensive European project of setting up interactive, collaborative meeting places at Böhringer, a global pharmaceutical research company – with the support of several PSNI affiliates. It’s the kind of AV integration work that DataVision does best.
But the company is also preparing for a change in the way the AV industry does business.
“Our business is facing profound changes, moving away from classic AV fields into modern solutions linked to our clients’ IT conditions and environments, with a focus on unified communication and collaboration. And this change is being accelerated by the current global crisis,” Andreas said. “We are moving away from established large conference rooms towards more multi-use and collaboration spaces. And we will see an increased need for managed services and global projects with standardized, scalable, and easy-to-use results. These are exciting times with lots of new opportunities!”
