The shift towards a hybrid work model, which enables employees to work from both their homes and the office, has significantly affected the way we work. However, this model comes with its own set of challenges for IT departments, especially in terms of meeting room setups and remote worker support. To help organizations address these challenges, Legrand | AV and Biamp have been developing products that cater to the needs of the hybrid workforce.

Solutions for managing remote worker technology

One of the significant challenges of the hybrid work model is the need to support both in-office and remote workers. Legrand | AV solutions allow employees to easily transition from working at home to working in the office.

For instance, Legrand | AV’s C2G docking stations enable workers to connect their laptops to a monitor, keyboard, and other peripherals when they are in the office. This makes it easier for employees to work more efficiently, and it reduces the burden on IT departments who would otherwise need to troubleshoot connectivity issues.

Another Legrand | AV product specifically designed for the home user is the Chief Koncīs™ Monitor Arm Mount. This provides a more productive, ergonomic workspace for the home office allowing employees to work comfortably and efficiently, even when they are not in the office.

Solutions for managing remote AV technology

IT departments are continually challenged with the increased demand on already overburdened resources. Legrand | AV and Biamp makes it easy for IT resources to remotely manage and monitor their AV systems.

Legrand | AV’s Vaddio Deployment Tool enables IT technicians to view all supported Vaddio products across an organization at one time, select devices from the network, and choose an action like rebooting the device, unmuting the audio, or updating the firmware.

Remote management is the basis of Legrand | AV’s Luxul ProWatch, which enables IT resources to remotely view diagnostics and troubleshoot issues via a web interface or the ProWatch app.

Biamp’s monitoring and management platform, SageVue, enables IT teams to monitor the status of on-premise Biamp equipment as well as remote equipment if users connect to the network via VPN. “In fact, remote workers can run their own instance of SageVue locally and configure it to send alerts to a central IT monitoring account if they prefer,” said Tim Koskamp, Field Sales Engineer at Biamp.

Maximize Uptime and Minimize Downtime

As more companies continue to adopt a hybrid work model, the challenges for IT departments will only continue to increase. Legrand | AV and Biamp are committed to providing products that enable organizations to address these challenges and work more efficiently.

By enabling employees to seamlessly transition from working at home to working in the office, making AV systems easier to monitor and manage, and providing products specifically designed for the home user, Legrand | AV is helping organizations maximize uptime and minimize downtime, allowing employees to work more effectively and efficiently, whether they are in the office or working from home.

For years, Biamp has been focused on making the far end’s audio experience extraordinary. “Our ongoing goal is to make remote users feel as though they’re in the room having a face-to-face conversation. Part of that extraordinary experience is tied to the quality of equipment in use at remote locations,” said Koskamp.
